I want my web 2.0
If you haven”t been able to tell up till now i am a big fan of both Google and 37signals. Both companies that are seemingly worlds apart and both have products that i love. As is the case with alot of competing products in the online world as well as the offline world, I am being forced to make a decision.
What my current workflow looks like
Gmail Hosted for all my email (except work email)
Google Calendar for personal timetracking, appt’s etc (this does include some freelance stuff and any important work meetings)
What I am missing from this is BackPackit
Backpackit has all the to do list stuff i want, it’s got note taking file uploading and sharing it’s great but i just can’t figure out what to do. My options are as follows
1) Stay with my current setup of gmail/gcal and occasionaly use backpackit
2) Ditch gcal and do all calendaring in backpackit
3) Ditch backpackit entirely and try to accomodate lost functionality within gmail/gcal ?
Definately going to have to take a bit of time to think about this one…
