a camping we will go

Well not me, my son actually. Today we are dropping him off for his first full week away at camp.

This isn’t his first long stay away from home though, he’s been with his grandparents for a week here and there.

But this will be the first time away from family.

He’s going to Fraser Lake Camp, which is very close to the cottage i spent just about every summer from the time i was born until i was around 13 or so.

He’s also got the added advantage of having his 2 best friends there with him which should make things considerably easier on him, but with all the reassurances in the world, I am still having a hard time seeing him off.
